2. Which Data We Collect
2.1 Data you give us directly
When you place an order, create a customer account, sign up for our newsletter or contact us, we collect the data you provide. This usually includes your first and last name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number (if provided), order details and the content of your messages to us.
2.2 Payment data
Payments are processed by external payment service providers. Your card or account details are entered directly with the respective provider and are not stored by us. We only receive the information that is necessary to confirm and process your payment, such as the payment status and the amount.
2.3 Data collected automatically
When you visit our website, our servers automatically record technical information that your browser sends. This includes your IP address, the date and time of your visit, the pages you viewed, the website you came from, the browser and operating system you use and your device type. This data is needed to display our website correctly and to keep it secure.
3. Why We Process Your Data and on What Legal Basis
3.1 Processing your orders
We use your data to process your order, deliver your products, handle payments, returns and warranty claims, and to keep you informed about the status of your order. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, as the processing is necessary to perform the contract with you.
3.2 Customer account
If you create a customer account, we store your data so you can view your orders and do not have to enter your details every time. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us.
3.3 Customer service
When you contact us by email or phone, we use your data to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request relates to an order, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering inquiries under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
3.4 Website operation and security
We process technical data to provide our website, to ensure its stability and to protect it against misuse and attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
3.5 Legal obligations
We are required by commercial and tax law to keep certain data, such as invoices and order records. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR.
4. Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we will send you news about our products, gift ideas and special offers by email. We only send the newsletter with your consent, which you confirm through a confirmation link in an email we send you (double opt in). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the end of every newsletter or by sending us an email. Unsubscribing does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew your consent.
If you have bought something from us and gave us your email address in the process, we may send you information about similar products by email. You can object to this at any time without any costs other than the basic transmission fees. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in combination with § 7 (3) of the German Act against Unfair Competition (UWG).
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device and help our shop work properly, for example by remembering the contents of your shopping cart.
Technically necessary cookies are used on the basis of § 25 (2) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) and our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. All other cookies, for example for statistics or marketing, are only used if you have given your consent through our cookie banner (§ 25 (1) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time in the cookie settings on our website.
You can also set your browser so that cookies are blocked or deleted. Please note that some parts of our shop may not work properly without cookies.
6. Who Receives Your Data
We only share your data with third parties if this is necessary to process your order, if you have consented, or if we are legally required to do so. Recipients may include:
Shipping companies that deliver your order. They receive your name and delivery address and, where needed to announce or coordinate the delivery, your email address or phone number.
Payment service providers that process your payment.
The provider of our shop system and our web hosting, who process data on our behalf.
Email and newsletter service providers that send our emails on our behalf.
Tax advisors and authorities, where we are legally required to share data.
Where service providers process data on our behalf, we have concluded data processing agreements with them in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. They may only use your data according to our instructions.
7. Data Transfers Outside the EU
Some of our service providers may be located outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, for example in the USA. In these cases, we make sure that an adequate level of data protection is guaranteed. This can be done through an adequacy decision of the European Commission, such as the EU U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or through the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How Long We Keep Your Data
We store your personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above. Data from your orders is kept for as long as required by commercial and tax law, which is generally up to ten years. Data from your customer account is deleted once you delete your account, unless we are required to keep it by law. Newsletter data is deleted after you unsubscribe.

The right to withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).
To exercise any of these rights, simply send us an email at support@julosw.com.
10. Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).
11. Data Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Our website uses SSL or TLS encryption, which you can recognise by the lock symbol in your browser's address bar.
12. Children
Our shop is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
